The inaugural Powered with Pride 5K presented by Humana Vitality run/walk will be held in Louisville's Cherokee Park at 8am on Saturday, June 15, 2013. Louisville's GLBT and supporting communities have been long enough without such a healthy, unifying and visible endeavor. Powered with Pride presented by Humana Vtaltiy seeks to build a strong sense of physical and mental wellness thorough our flagship 5K run/walk, pre-event training sessions, post-race celebrations, and active involvement of partner/sponsor organizations.

May 11 , 2013 - 8:00 am

This is Louisville’s unique road event because the course does not go around the zoo; it goes “throo” it! So, while you give your legs their first real challenge of spring, you can treat your senses to the sights and sounds of nature—snow leopards, tigers, and flamingos. The Norton Audubon Hospital/McDonald's of KYANA Throo the Zoo 5K is a grand adventure for the entire family. Most importantly, everyone can participate—runners, walkers, and animal lovers of all ages.

Each participant also will receive FREE admission to the zoo for the day.
