You'll have a "howling" good time at the 2020 Pupkin Spice 5k!

Even though we have had a permit for this event since February, 2020, because of the current status of the pandemic in the State of KY, Metro Parks cannot guarantee that we can hold the in-person event by October 31, 2020.  We have spent the last week trying to find an alternate venue but with the event being on Halloween and four weeks out from the event date, we have had no luck.  It is very disappointing for us all, especially with the event falling on Halloween but we still want to be able to raise fund for Tyson's Chance Animal Foundation so the event is going virtual.

A virtual race is a race that can be run or walked from any location you choose. You can run, jog, or walk on the road, on the trail, on a treadmill or track. You get to run your own race, at your own pace.   If you would like to run the actual planned Pupkin Spice 5k course, click here for the course map in Cherokee Park.

All packets will be mailed, complimentary, and since we have had this unexpected turn of events, we will be including your packet one of last year’s tech shirts, FREE, while they last.  Just choose your size during registration.  

We have added some upgrades and additions to the event as it has had to turn virtual including finisher medals, awards for the costume categories, bandanas for your pet, custom Ponya Band available for discounted purchase, upgrade to a long sleeve ¼ zip shirt and more.

Tyson's Chance is a nonprofit animal rescue based in Shelbyville, KY. Their primary focus is the rescue of special needs animals. 

A majority of their adoptable animals are seniors, medical cases, and those with social or behavioral issues. We also provide hospice care to terminally ill animals who have been relinquished to shelters or given up by their owners. They love to heal the sick, rehabilitate the misunderstood, and provide safe haven for those in their golden years.  If you would like to make an additional donation to Tyson's Chance, you will have the option add to your registration while registering.

All race shirts, bibs, and medals will be mailed to you prior to the October 31st race day if registered by midnight, October 15th, so that you can wear your shirt and bib when you complete your run.  Those registered after October 15th will not be guaranteed to receive their shirt, bib and medal before race but will have them after October 31st. 

Once you've completed your race, you'll log your time and download your finisher certificate to share with friends, family and on social media!
