PACKET PICKUP

Friday, December 20th from 11:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Ken Combs Running Store, 4137 Shelbyville Rd.

Race day starting at 8:00 a.m. at the picnic shelter at Hogan's Fountain in Cherokee Park (race site)

RACE DAY PARKING

There is a lot and marked parking spaces on the Scenic Loop at Hogan’s Fountain but parking is limited so arrive early, carpool, have someone drop you off or park further around the loop and walk or jog for your warm up.

In the past we have had problems with participants who have parked on the Scenic Loop in front of and behind the start/finish line (inside the blue box) leaving before the race is over and driving through runners still finishing.  This is VERY dangerous and inconsiderate.  If you must leave before the race is over (everyone should be finished by 9:45-10:00 a.m.) you can park inside the red circle area and walk on the trails to Hogan's Fountain (the green dotted line) or park south of the start/finish line.

United Crescent Hill Ministries (UCHM) is a community ministry sponsored by 19 churches/religious institutions, businesses, and individuals within Crescent Hill, Clifton, Clifton Heights, and Butchertown for the purpose of providing vital social services to these communities and beyond.

United Crescent Hill Ministries builds compassionate community by providing programs for education, emergency assistance, health, wellness, and social activities.

UCHM was formed after the devastating tornado of 1974, when churches who helped provide services during the tornado chose to continue to work together in developing other needed community programs for the neighborhood. This outreach is reflected in our mission statement: "Serving Our Neighbors ~ Building Better Community". UCHM's services have grown to include programming that serves the wider Louisville Metro area, including our youth and senior programs.

UCHM serves approximately 3,500 individuals with a range of programs that includes: emergency financial and food assistance, youth programming, health prevention services, senior citizen nutrition program and Meals on Wheels, senior citizen activities, community development and organizing, ecumenical activities, outreach, referral and advocacy. UCHM services are provided with the help of 350 volunteers, two full-time staff, and two part-time staff.

Mission The three leaves represent UCHM's essential programs: Emergency Assistance, Youth, and Seniors. The leaves also represent the human components nurtured by UCHM: the MIND (with our education offerings), the BODY (through our health and wellness programs), and the SPIRIT (via social activities and trips, fellowship, and the joyful camaraderie of member churches and organizations).United Crescent Hill Ministries, created and sustained by neighborhood communities of faith, in relationship with organizations, individuals, and businesses, builds better community by serving our neighbors with programs, activities, and services that enrich their lives physically, mentally, spiritually, and socially.
